Thank you

Thank you

We got in this race, not because it was going to be easy, but because it was the right thing to do.

While the outcome wasn't what we hoped, I want to thank you all for the hard work that you have done.

As I travelled all over Wisconsin, I was amazed at the sweat, dedication and energy put forth by people like you to bring our democracy alive.

Thank you to those of you who fought, who obtained signatures, who stood out in the cold, who donated, and who did what you thought was right. You should be proud of what we've accomplished and I hope you will continue fighting for our shared Wisconsin values.

Thank you to those of you who got involved; whether it was your first time or your twentieth time, you made a difference. Democracy is the ultimate participatory sport, and I hope you keep your passion for politics alive by sharing stories about our incredible journey with your friends and family.

And thank you to you all for caring deeply about the future of working, middle class families. This is still a fight worth fighting and I hope you continue to stand with me for justice, opportunity and fairness for all.

Now we must look to the future. And our challenges are real. We are a state that is deeply divided and it is up to all of us -- our side and their side -- to listen and work together.

During our campaign, we launched an unprecedented neighbor-to-neighbor effort to contact Wisconsinites all across our state and discuss the challenges we face. This is an endeavor we must continue. In the days and weeks ahead, I urge you to reach out to your neighbors and ask, "What can we do together to move our community forward?"

A healthy democracy requires lively debates, but it also requires that we listen, that we roll-up our sleeves, and that we work together to do what is right.

With the election behind us, that is our duty to the people of Wisconsin.

This isn't the end -- it's just the start of a new chapter that we are going to write together as Wisconsinites.

I'll be there fighting with you to move Wisconsin forward -- and I can't wait to see what you do next.

Thank you so much,

Tom Barrett

I do not understand why people vote against there own interrest!

We have a retired officer in our county who voted with Walker against his own interrest.

I think he should call his union and let them know he dose not need a check every M.

I am sickened at what this outcome was and fear for what other parts of our community this supposed Governor will be attacking next.
Wish it was you Mr Barrett!

Mayor Barrett,
You gave us a good fight and I want to congratulate you on all that you have done for the state of Wisconsin. I also want to apologize for that woman who slapped you. That was entirely uncalled for and I am glad she was removed. People like that need to be talked to and told in no uncertain terms that she is never to do that again. Its really too bad that we have people like that in our society. You deseve so much better than that with all of your wonderful hard work and the wonderful way you handle yourself with people. God Bless You.
I am going to attach below the letter that I have send to variose people that helped with the campaign. Please read as this is how I really feel about the election:
Ed, Thank you for all that you do. Here is what I sent to the President. So disappointed in half of the Wisconsin people. They just are not informed on the little stuff like the vouchers, etc, they have no idea what it will entail. Here is the rest that I wrote to anyone that will listen, but thank you so much for what you do. Just heard that women who said that the protesters damaged the capitol. That is a bald face lie. Talk to the police there and they will tell you differently. How about Walkers group when they would not even let our senate people enter and they used force on some of them. She is watching too many videos that are made up by people which usually are not true. I am on the net all of the time and I have not seen what she is talking about, but I refuse to watch videos made up by people who push their own agenda.

The Koch Brothers have just bought Our Beautiful Wisconsin. We should have never let them do that. The people in Wisconsin are STUPID. I mean that literally. They are not informed or care to research things and that makes them STUPID. Of course the Republicans with their extra money are cackling away, and feel like they just won the lottery so that they can stick it in their pockets to ditch you later. I don’t know how we can move forward with all of this going on. Its going to get worse not better. How do you educate people that are being fed lies and being bribed for their vote??? With the Koch brothers using buses across Wisconsin and bringing out of state people in here and telling people whatever, its not a good thing. They used everything in the book including doing robo calls to people telling them that they did not have to vote if they signed recall petitions. Nothing is sacred anymore.
Warm Regards and Very, Very, Very, Sad and disappointed in the people of Wisconsin,
Trish
We needed to spend more time in the fox valley area, when you consider Green Bay, Appleton, Manitowoc, Fond du lac, Sheboygan, Oshkosh, plus all the little towns like De-Pere, Luxenberg, Pulaski, etc. etc., there are a lot of votes there.
Warm Regards,
Trish

Tom – My mother is a teacher from Oak Creek High School in Oak Creek Wisconsin who worked with me on your 2002 gubernatorial campaign. I just wanted to let you know that in a time of very few heroes, you are truly a hero of mine. Thank you for fighting for what is right, and for not wavering in the face of popular opinion. Your fight means the world to me as the cause is truly righteous, and I feel that there are very few politicians today who actually are fighting for the average American and the middle class.

Thank you for being you Tom!
