Scott Walker’s Failure on Jobs Continues – Wisconsin Loses 4500 Jobs in March

MILWAUKEE — Tom Barrett issued the following statement today in the wake of news that Wisconsin lost 4500 jobs in March:

“Wisconsin was promised 250,000 jobs by Governor Walker when he ran for office, yet our state led the nation in job losses last year. Instead of focusing on jobs as he promised, Governor Walker has pursued an ideological civil war that has torn our state apart. Today, we learn that Wisconsin once again lost jobs, as another 4,500 jobs left our state in March. This is affecting real people’s lives in dramatic ways, yet this Governor continues his ‘my way or the highway’ approach to governing. Clearly Walker is just not up to the task on the issue most important to the people of Wisconsin – creating jobs. As governor, I’ll focus on job creation, not ideological pursuits. We need a governor who will heal this state and create an economy that works for everybody.”
